  I'm excited to announce my Fall Minis will be the afternoon of October 17th.  Location TBA.  These limited sessions are great for updating your family's photos or getting your kids into new fall outfits.     It's that time again!  I feel like I just did Fall Minis.  We have so much fun on this day.  I love fall.

     These minis are discounted in every way.  I'm reserving 6 appointments on Oct. 26th in the afternoon.  I love getting that golden late-day sunshine.  Location is to be announced, so be looking for that information a little later.

            These exclusive sessions are $250.  Your session fee is waived, and 15 digital files are included in that.  With these files you get unlimited printing rights up to 8x10 size.  I'll spend about 20 minutes with you capturing anywhere from 20-40 images for you to choose from.

Spring Portraits

Aw, I love these every year. And I found a barn that I didn’t know was there! Bonus. I love this girl so much. I have been taking her pictures for years, and I even had her in school. I know she’s going to bring her sunglasses and take our annual sassy sunglasses picture, and do everything I ask of her. I always overshoot her session because she is so much fun. Look at that twirly dress. I can’t believe how she is growing. She reminds me of spring! Take a look at her sweet pictures.

Reagan

I loved this session! The only way to describe Reagan is spunky. Don’t you love that word? She always has a smile on her face, and she is just a ball of energy. …And she’s cute, too. Softball is her thing, and I was too happy when she came with her bat and ball. It’s not the only sport she can play, but apparently it’s the most important to her. She’s pretty and tough all at once (inside and out. That’s so important!). She’s kind, and her energy is contagious. She can be anything she wants. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this one.

First of all, obviously this is a summer throwback. I just can’t resist catching up with my blogging with these two cuties. Photographing sisters at their best is awesome. I hope they get along this well at home, and always stay close. It was almost dark this night at the Wilson County Fair, which made all the colors so pretty. You girls are too cute, with equally beautiful personalities!

Sisters at the Fair

Now, I know that it’s cold outside and it’s January, and we're hoping for snow and all (well, some of us), but I couldn’t resist posting these summer fair pictures when I came across them again. The colors and these girls just make me happy! These two are sweet AND cute; so glad they did this with me. I love each season as it comes, and even though I’m eagerly watching the forecast for snow this week, I’m also waiting patiently for the warmer weather and definitely the longer days.

The Enough Group

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged this yet! It’s so important. These girls have started “The Enough Group” at Walter J. Baird Middle School. They want to show you that you are enough. Acts of kindness, kind words, and affirmation are what they spread. Middle school is hard. What can you do to be kind?

Nashville Photographer | Wilson County Fair

Isabella is 16!

         You don't realize how fast time flies until it's already gone.  I've know this girl for a while now, and she has grown up to be so beautiful and sweet...and a little silly, too, which is always a good thing.  For her sweet 16 pictures we went to the fair while it was here in town.  Luckily she has a brave and outgoing mom who asked to get into booths, sit on rides, stand by vendors...It was SO funny, and guess what?  Everyone said YES.  I loved it!  So here you'll see her eating free ice cream, being silly with the civil war reenactment guy, sitting on kiddie rides, holding a GIANT panda... I love when I see girls being adventurous.  Thanks for the experience, Isabella, and I know year 16 will be the best one yet!

#Kindnesscampaign

  When Joy Pine from Iddy and Oscar's asked me to help her with some ways to spread love and kindness, I totally jumped on it!  This is the second photo shoot we have done, and I think she's a genius!  The first one was #theempoweringproject with women ages 18-28.  This one is #thekindnesscampaign with middle school girls.

   These girls were nominated for their kind hearts by teachers and friends at their schools here in our county.  What an honor! The "Enough Group"  From Walter J. Baird Middle School inspired us to do this photo shoot. It's made up of girls in 6-8th grade who are trying to emphasize "you are enough".  They empower each other and the students at their school with acts of kindness.  This is HUGE!  I'm so proud of these girls for standing out in a world that isn't always so nice.  Keep it up!  Be positive.  Be kind. Let them inspire YOU.

Chase

   Meet Chase.  Class of 2018.  Young and reckless.  That's how he describes himself.  Also he's confident, kind, definitely polite.  He's very athletic and he made me laugh during his senior session.  We went out to The Mitchell House on Castle Heights campus for the first part of his photo shoot. Then we headed to the a place he loves, the lake; his family's lake house.   Chase loves to wakeboard and be on the water.  He was homeschooled for his high school career because he was traveling so much for his moto cross competitions.  Before that, it was baseball and football.  I told you he is athletic and into everything. 

 During our session Chase said he really wasn't into taking pictures, but by the end he was asking for more (with his truck!).  Love it, I knew he would change his mind once we started.  He was raised right, super polite.  I have no sense of direction, and when I followed him to the lake house he made sure to put on his blinker.  I knew this was a good kid.  :)  Scroll down to see his senior pics!

    Before you go scroll down to see today's featured model, Jayda!  Her outfit is the highlight of my day today.  Back in the 90s (YES), my favorite thing to wear was velvet and denim.  I am so happy to see that it's back.  Well, I usually had a choker and platform sandals to go with it...

  Jayda is a sophomore at Lebanon High School.  She loves dancing, swimming, and trying new things.  She's is a singer and is active in her church and Girl Scouts.  She is a positive person...and organized...and hardly ever late to things.  I think I need her in my life!  She's gorgeous, too.

Spring Mini Sessions

      For my spring mini sessions this year, just a few of us went to Cedars of Lebanon State Park and had a little fun with the bunny, Buttercup.  These guys are all related, so it was a family reunion, too!  Haha.  Love these kids.  I have been photographing all of them for a long time, and now I even have MK in class!  Such a sweetheart...And can't get over the sassy glasses.  Scroll down to see these three in action.  Look, and Houston did smile!

Model Call!

Juniors and Seniors, I need your help!  Well, actually, any high schooler can apply.  I need a model team.  If you think being in front of the camera is fun, and you would like to help a photographer out, I need you.  During the week of April 15th am going to take some pictures.  For free.  You're going to help me out, and I'm going to help you out!  You'll get some free stuff, and I'll get some content to advertise with.  Plus it's fun.  And you can bring a friend if you want to.  Win-win.  If you are interested in this opportunity, PLEASE let me know by email, text, call.  I'll send you information asap.  You just have to fill out an application form.  Can't wait to hear from you!

Kayla's 13!

      So I have been taking Kayla's yearly pictures for a couple of years now, and I'm so glad she found me to do it!  I love those tween years before real life sets in.  Kayla is one of the most confident, happy girls I've met yet...and so cute, too!  She's into dance and her friends.  The funny thing is we have the same size feet!  Haha, I won't tell you what that is, but it makes me smile 'cuz we're both kinda on the short side.  Love it, Kayla!  We went down to the Lebanon square to do her photo session.  We always have the best time, and she is gorgeous.  Scroll down to see some of her smiling and laughing. Those are the ones I like best, although she's pretty great in all of them.

Page High School | Darby

         Meet Darby! Class of 2018.  Page High School is lucky to have this senior.  She's also a girl after my own heart because she loves PHOTOGRAPHY!  I absolutely love the picture with her camera (scroll down; I know you want to see it).  I've known Darby's mom since college, and I'm glad to know she has three awesome kids (just like me!).  Of course, they had to have a few pictures, too.  Bring 'em on, I say.  We had a great time at the Lebanon square taking these pictures.  I love the way Darby was a natural in front of the camera, and it shows.  She is so confident.  It's good to see girls who feel good about themselves.  Keep it up, Darby!  You are fun, smart, gorgeous person!

Lebanon TN | My Nephew Jett

   Meet Jett.  Class of 2022. :)  Is that right?  Aw, I can't believe it.  He's already this old.  Jett's from Kansas, so each summer when he comes to visit I get to take his birthday pictures...and he loves it...well, his mom loves it anyway.  Haha.  He actually is very photogenic and always does a great job.  As you can see he loves baseball.  They drove here from visiting in Kentucky to have his pictures done in downtown Lebanon and on one of our middle school's baseball fields (shout-out to my hubby).  We love acting silly with these pictures, and we brought all my crew along to make him smile, which they did.  This first one cracks me up.  Maybe you can see what a lady's man he'll be in a few years.

   I can't believe it's time again for Fair Sessions.  These are some of my favorites because they're so happy!  If you need some color on your walls, these minis are for you.

   Here are the details:  You will meet me at the fair, and have 20 minutes with me.  Yes, there are so many colors, people, and crazyiness!  It's awesome.  We act silly.  Your kids are already smiling because they're at the FAIR.  ...and it doesn't have to be kids.  It can be whomever you want! Each session is for up to 3 people.  Each extra person is $10.  You will get to see a gallery of retouched images, and you'll get to pick 10 to take home with you on a flashdrive, with unlimited printing up to 8x10.  Total cost is $250, so your regular session fee is waved.  It's also a discount on the 10 digital images.  AND you get the option to purchase any other product/digitals for 10% off regular pricing.
