Nashville TN Photographer | Fiddler's Grove

Reagan

I loved this session! The only way to describe Reagan is spunky. Don’t you love that word? She always has a smile on her face, and she is just a ball of energy. …And she’s cute, too. Softball is her thing, and I was too happy when she came with her bat and ball. It’s not the only sport she can play, but apparently it’s the most important to her. She’s pretty and tough all at once (inside and out. That’s so important!). She’s kind, and her energy is contagious. She can be anything she wants. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this one.

Christmas Family

I love Christmas, who doesn’t? This family made it double fun. I was so glad to be able to squeeze them into this busy holiday season. All these cousins were great; reminds me of when I was growing up. …and such a pretty background for pictures. I am thankful for them allowing me in on some of their crazy fun and love.

The Bealls at the Fair

I love my Wilson County Fair sessions! Even though it’s fall, it’s still hot outside. I’m hanging on to summer as long as I can. Love these colors, and the Bealls were so fun to work with!

Spring Mini Sessions

For my spring mini sessions this year, just a few of us went to Cedars of Lebanon State Park and had a little fun with the bunny, Buttercup.  These guys are all related, so it was a family reunion, too!  Haha.  Love these kids.  I have been photographing all of them for a long time, and now I even have MK in class!  Such a sweetheart...And can't get over the sassy glasses.  Scroll down to see these three in action.  Look, and Houston did smile!

Lebanon TN Family Photographer | Major Family

An Extended Family Session

Meet the Majors.  I have known these guys for a long time.  Bonnie comes from a whole family of teachers, just like me!  They are the most down to earth, sweetest people you'll ever meet.  The boys are into their farm, sports, outdoor activities, driving the gator (!), you name it.  The rest of the extended family joined us toward the end of our session.  It was a feat to get all the cousins to smile, but we did it with the help of everyone.  I saw some silly stuff!  Haha, it was a great day for pictures.  I had so much fun!

How difficult is it to start a farm?  Read here to find out.

Cedars of Lebanon | Flory

Oh, my stars!  These two are so cute.  Santa will have a hard time not giving them everything on their lists.  And the twirly, swirly dress Mary has on is so fun!  We had the best time taking pictures at Cedars of Lebanon with the trees and leaves.  It was the perfect backdrop.  They listened to ALL my directions and were so good.  I've watched them grow up, and I think their family is so blessed!  Scroll down to take a look at the full Christmas mini session with them.

Lebanon, TN Photographer | Family Farm Portraits

The Miller Family Farm

I have known the Millers for a while.  It seems like every part of each of our families has teachers in it.  I do love going out to their Lebanon, tn family farm to take pictures.  It makes me want some farmland, but I don't know if I could deal with the all the extra work!  Miss Sassy loved having her pictures taken this time.  She actually found several of the best spots.  Calhoun didn't want any part of it, as you can see if you'll scroll down.  Hilarious!  Both kids did great anyway, and I always have some funny ones to show them.  Until next time! Enjoy!

Watertown Engagement Portraits | Everlasting Pond

Jamie and Bo are getting married today!

Today is the day! I just love a country outdoor wedding.  Jamie and Bo are getting married at The Everlasting Pond in Watertown.  I can't wait to see Jamie as a bride, and also get some more pictures of this venue with a wedding party...Woods, rock quarry, quaint little house for the bride and her people.  So, so pretty.  Here are some highlights from their engagement session.  Enjoy, and stay tuned for the wedding photos!  I can't wait.

Wilson County Fair Mini Sessions | August 18-26, 2017

I can't believe it's time again for Fair Sessions.  These are some of my favorites because they're so happy!  If you need some color on your walls, these minis are for you.

Here are the details:  You will meet me at the fair, and have 20 minutes with me.  Yes, there are so many colors, people, and crazyiness!  It's awesome.  We act silly.  Your kids are already smiling because they're at the FAIR.  ...and it doesn't have to be kids.  It can be whomever you want! Each session is for up to 3 people.  Each extra person is $10.  You will get to see a gallery of retouched images, and you'll get to pick 10 to take home with you on a flashdrive, with unlimited printing up to 8x10.  Total cost is $250, so your regular session fee is waved.  It's also a discount on the 10 digital images.  AND you get the option to purchase any other product/digitals for 10% off regular pricing.

Contact me now, so you'll get your spot.  Since it's only going on one week, and the most beautiful time for pictures is late afternoon, the appointments are limited. Just go to my 'contact' session here on my website, call me, or email me.  Can't wait to book your spot and see you at the Wilson County Fair!

Nashville Middle TN family | Baby Olivia

A Sweet Start

Time goes by so fast.  This sweet girl is 4 months old now.  She's so much like her sister, it's funny.  We took these newborn pictures at her great grandmother's house; you'll see her near the bottom of the gallery.  I love the multi-generational photos.  They will be SO glad they have them, even though big sister is hanging upside down in that first one.  Haaaa!  I am so glad I get to watch Olivia grow.  Next time she will be ready for her 6 month pictures.  I told you time flies!

Nashville Middle TN Family | Mitchell House

Sweet Siblings

I have been taking pictures of these three for ages, it seems (well, not AGES because they're still little).  I love watching how they're family grows and changes.  Sister has been recently added.  :)

The best thing about these photo sessions is that all three kids are always energetic and happy...to the exasperation of their parents sometimes.  I keep saying  that they'll miss the crazy life with three little ones someday.  Seriously!  I have just now started realizing it, even though people have been telling me for years.  One day I woke up and my littlest was 10.

One thing I noticed this time was that Everhett, big brother, was all of the sudden super into the pictures.  He was so helpful in trying to find good spots.  Also while the other two were laughing and...running, I would look over and he would just be sitting and smiling.  It made me laugh.  So fun to watch and remember.

The Mitchell House, where we took these, is a historic part of Lebanon.  In 1936, the home was purchased by Castle Heights Military Academy, at which time the home began fifty years as the Junior School and living quarters for boarding students. Long before that, though, the owner sold it to his children for ONE dollar!  It's funny the stuff you find online.  Anywho, now it's a great place for pictures.  You should definitely check it out.  Lots of history.

I hope to be taking pictures of this family for a long time.  These three balance even though each is different. We always have some laughs and some exercise, haha!  I love how I can always see their personalities in each picture.

Nashville Middle TN | Maternity Session

Kristin's Second

Aw, isn't she so cute?  I had the pleasure of photographing Kristin with her first child, and I'm super happy she asked me to do it again.  Another boy!  She and Brandon are IN FOR IT!  Haha, just kidding (sort of).  Boys are definitely special.  Can't wait to meet this little one and take his newborn pictures in August.  She has to brave the rest of this summer, but it will be so worth it in the end!

This spot was in Kristin's sister's backyard.  How lucky is she?  Last time this creek was pretty deserted, but now there are beautiful houses on the land.

Middle Tn Senior | Mt. Juliet high School | Wendy

Wendy's a Senior!

She's ready to graduate. I keep seeing her mom's facebook posts about last prom, last color guard competition, first look at the cap and gown...*whew*

I'm almost there with my girl, but not quite.  I try not to think about it.

But Wendy, what an adventure for you!  I was in marching band, and it gave me some of the best memories.  You'll miss it, but you'll also make new memories, new friends. Your parents can't wait to see what happens next, even though it's bittersweet.  I hope you're excited for this next chapter. Onward!  ;)
